Our flexible solutions are a great fit for both small projects and property-wide home automation. After experiencing the benefits of a Sounds Good installation in his home, our client approached us with the desire to expand the existing system by automating a new addition to their property, a custom poolhouse.
Taking more than two years to complete, the $1.6 million building was designed to meet the homeowners' needs from the ground up. It was up to us to integrate the new pool house's multiple devices and systems into the existing control system. We installed new in-wall touchscreens, allowing the homeowners to control two plasma TVs, the music system (including an iPod dock installed at the bar), 20 lighting zones, the HVAC system, and pool/spa controls.
A perfect in-home getaway for cold New England winter, the 19' x 37' pool stays at a comfortable 86 degrees. Anyone requiring more heat can easily slide into the adjacent Jacuzzi. For added fun, the builders created a slide on one end, a great feature for both kids and adults. The pool house also features laminated wood arches and Venetian plaster walls, architectural details that look great and make sense for a water-exposed space.
Sounds Good also programmed the control system to manage the several unique features of the new indoor pool and spa: spa jets and blower, laminar-jet water fountains, waterfalls, water-slide, and the beautiful fiber-optic pool lighting features. The Sounds Good system also manages outdoor music and landscape lighting, so the owners can take advantage of the fully functional outdoor kitchen in the poolhouse courtyard when weather permits.
Beyond the poolhouse, Sounds Good upgraded the main house's system as well, adding a whole-house video system with DVD changers for both parents and kids, allowing the family to watch their favorite movies on just about any TV in the house.
